Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer

Today's post is going to be on the Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer.

I never used to be in to primers and never really seen the point of them, i always thought that moisturising your face was enough. However i found that my skin was getting dry patches more often after i was wearing my makeup.

As i was new to primers and did not really know what i was looking for and what ones were good or not. So i decided to go into Boots one day and had a look around the different makeup counters to see if i could see any primers. I walked up to the Smashbox counter and they had at least 10 different primers to choose from and i had no clue what one would work best for me. After speaking to the very helpful women at the counter she recommended the Hydrating Primer as my skin got dry easily.

At the counter the women put the primer on half my face and then makeup on my whole face to see how different my makeup sat with the primer and then without. I was amazed at the difference, i think because it is hydrating that the makeup does not stick to the drier sections on my face as there is a shield between them.

Ever since then i have used a primer before applying my make up and I'm surprised i went so long not using one as i feel that it is an important step in applying my makeup. I just think that they way my makeup sits is a lot better and also makes my makeup last longer as well i feel.

This product is blue in colour however it applies clear, it is a gel substance which i find to be very cooling on the skin. It also rubs in very fast and doesn't mix with the makeup to make it watery.

This product is not as cheap as drugstore primers however after using a lot of the drugstore primers i do feel like this is the best one i have tried so far!

This product can be found at bigger boots stores and costs £28! I've left a link to the boots website so you can check out this product and more!

Thanks for reading

Lip Blams

For a couple of years now I've been suffering with the worst case of dry/cracked lip imaginable. All day I am constantly applying lip balm as my lips without anything covering them is agony. They constantly crack and then bleed, they flake off and to be completely honest it isn't exactly very nice to be talking to someone and feel as though they are just staring at your flakey lips. So since I feel like I am an expert in the field of lip balm as I own and have tried what feel like hundreds over the past two years that I would give you my personal opinion on a few Lip Balm I have tried out recently and wether they were work the money, and if they have done anything to help my lips. 1. La Roche-Posay - Barrier Repairing Balm I initially bought this as I had heard Estee Lalonde rave about how good it was for helping her lips from being so cracked and sore so thought it would help me. I use this every night and lather it on my lips and yes I do think it helps...

Slimming World - Week 2

My first week back at Slimming World and I would say that it was a complete success! 99% of the time I was on plan with just one day where a Nandos may have happened!  It paid off! My first weigh in and I lost 2.5lbs! I am delighted, it just goes to show you that if you stick to it then it pays off and you will see the results that you want. If I lose 2.5lbs every week I will be one happy girl! Lets hope this week I am just as determined as I was last week! Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum

Recently I have been trying a lot of night serums to try and improve the texture of my skin – I am glad to have found the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum. I haven’t really ever had the best textured skin, now that I wear make-up on a daily basis I notice the areas that are not the best even more. My make-up will stick to those areas or the texture pushes the make-up up over the area – this makes it even more noticeable to me. One night I took my make-up off and got really frustrated with my bad skin and took to google to find a product that would help me – the one that kept popping up and had good reviews was the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum. I quickly bought the product and as soon as it arrived I tried it out… needless to say I was not disappointed. I used this product   each night and it just blurs any bad texture areas, it makes my skin feel so soft which is what I look for from many of my skincare products. As this product blurs the texture it makes my make-up...
