Boots Haul!

I recently visited Boots and since it was triple points i decided to stock up on a few things that i needed.

First i picked up one of the Bold Metal Collections brushes from Real Techniques. These brushes are amazing and the packaging look is so luxurious. They look like high end brushes but are readily available in many drugstores and they definitely do not break the bank at £22.00! This is the 301 Contour Brush. With the dense head brush it gives an amazing shadow to the side of your face without making it look like you have a dirty mark on your face, which is have found from a lot of other brushes I've used to contour in the past. Defo a fan of this!

Next I picked up a new hair brush. Since I've been using the GHD Air Hairdryer i find it is a lot hotter than my old one so I melted all the bristles of my Tangle Teaser. This is just Boots own make hair brush which will hopefully last me longer than my other one :/.

I've been using the Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer for years and really love it, however i was browsing the L'Oreal counter and came across the Infallible Mattifying Primer. Since i have oily parts on my face I love products that say 'Mattify' and will try most of them to see if they work well. So i will be doing a separate blog post to say how it compares to my beloved Smashbox Primer.

I have gone through at least 7 eyelash curlers in the past year alone. For some reason after a month or two of using them the don't do anything to my lashes and i need to invest on a new pair. I usually return to the FCUK ones that do work but wear out quick. So I have bought the No7 ones to see if they will last me any longer. I've heard the Shu Uemura Eyelash curlers are supposed to be the best, however they are rather pricey at £20 for them. However if the No7 ones don't last then i will be investing in them!

I bought two under eye concealers. The first one is the L'Oreal Lumi Magique concealer. The packaging is almost identical to the YSL Touche Eclat (but I've never purchased it so i cannot comment on the formula) and Secondly the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. I love both these products for brightening under your eyes and making them look a little less tired when you do not get enough sleep. The Rimmel wake me up product has tiny bits of glitter running through it which helps add some brightness under your eyes.

And lastly a very boring product but one i go through a lot of. Listerine Mouthwash. I love this and it is by far my favorite of all I've tried. This green one is the spearmint flavor, however this product does nip my gums if it's in for too long which is annoying.

Hope that wasn't too long!

Lip Blams

For a couple of years now I've been suffering with the worst case of dry/cracked lip imaginable. All day I am constantly applying lip balm as my lips without anything covering them is agony. They constantly crack and then bleed, they flake off and to be completely honest it isn't exactly very nice to be talking to someone and feel as though they are just staring at your flakey lips. So since I feel like I am an expert in the field of lip balm as I own and have tried what feel like hundreds over the past two years that I would give you my personal opinion on a few Lip Balm I have tried out recently and wether they were work the money, and if they have done anything to help my lips. 1. La Roche-Posay - Barrier Repairing Balm I initially bought this as I had heard Estee Lalonde rave about how good it was for helping her lips from being so cracked and sore so thought it would help me. I use this every night and lather it on my lips and yes I do think it helps...

Slimming World - Week 2

My first week back at Slimming World and I would say that it was a complete success! 99% of the time I was on plan with just one day where a Nandos may have happened!  It paid off! My first weigh in and I lost 2.5lbs! I am delighted, it just goes to show you that if you stick to it then it pays off and you will see the results that you want. If I lose 2.5lbs every week I will be one happy girl! Lets hope this week I am just as determined as I was last week! Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum

Recently I have been trying a lot of night serums to try and improve the texture of my skin – I am glad to have found the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum. I haven’t really ever had the best textured skin, now that I wear make-up on a daily basis I notice the areas that are not the best even more. My make-up will stick to those areas or the texture pushes the make-up up over the area – this makes it even more noticeable to me. One night I took my make-up off and got really frustrated with my bad skin and took to google to find a product that would help me – the one that kept popping up and had good reviews was the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum. I quickly bought the product and as soon as it arrived I tried it out… needless to say I was not disappointed. I used this product   each night and it just blurs any bad texture areas, it makes my skin feel so soft which is what I look for from many of my skincare products. As this product blurs the texture it makes my make-up...
