Perfume of the Month - July


This month there has been one perfume that I have been reaching for over all the others and it is the Marc Jacobs Dot.

This perfume not only has the cutest bottle ever but its smells amazing too! I love perfumes that you can spray on in the morning and can smell a hint of it throughout the day as well.

Another reason I have been addicted to this scent is that I bought I while I was on holiday in the States a few weeks back. Every time I spray it the smell instantly reminds me of the warm Vegas air and the many frozen cocktails we drank. I do not want to give in to the fact that I am not on holiday anymore so I think this is why I have been spraying it more than the others.


I am not even going to pretend that I am any good at explaining the notes in the fragrance so I will let the internet have that one. So Base Notes explains this fragrance way better than I ever could.
1.   Top Notes - Red Berries, Dragon Fruit and Honeysuckle

2.   Heart Notes - Jasmine, Orange blossom and Coconut Water

3.   Base note - Vanilla, Musk and Driftwood


One thing I do find with all the Marc Jacobs fragrances that I have is that on the first spray I never seem to instantly love it like i do with a lot of other perfumes i have, however over time the smell seems to grow on me and I become obsessed with it.

Slimming World - Week 2

My first week back at Slimming World and I would say that it was a complete success! 99% of the time I was on plan with just one day where a Nandos may have happened!  It paid off! My first weigh in and I lost 2.5lbs! I am delighted, it just goes to show you that if you stick to it then it pays off and you will see the results that you want. Mario Badescu Make Up Remover

For many months now I have been using a waterproof mascara as I feel like it hold a better curl and last a lot longer without dropping or shortening the curl. One thing I could not stand and quite frankly dreaded was having to take the mascara off to apply a fresh coat, I used to spend ages tugging at my lashes to try and get all the product off but for some reason my lashes just never felt clean, I always felt like there was still a coat of mascara on them. I searched the shops for removers that were specific to taking off waterproof mascara and even they did not seem to work either.  I loved how to mascara looked and I did not want to have to try and find another mascara that looked as good. 2017 Goals!

I am the worst person ever for sticking to any goals that I set myself. I either just give up days after setting them or I totally forget that I set them at all. But this year I want to be different, I want to write my Goals for 2017 down and try really hard to tick them off and actually stick to them throughout the whole year. I sat down a few days back and really thought about the things in 2016 that made me not happy and change this habit in 2017 and make my goals achievable.  Goal Number 1 - To stick to Slimming World the entire year. I joined Slimming World in December of 2015 and for the majority of the year I was pretty good and stuck to it about 80% of the time - resulting in me losing 1stone3lbs in total.
