Ole Henriksen: Pure Truth Melting Cleanser

After finishing my First Aid Beauty Cleanser i was on the market to try a new one and after watching Fleur De Force talk about this product in a lot of her videos i decided to give the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser a try - After using the product for a couple of weeks it is safe to say i am not disappointed!


The main ingredients in this product are;

  • Vitamin C - This is great as it is used to brighten the face - since using this product i have found that the darker areas around my eyes are slightly brighter. However nothing drastic just a small amount
  • Rose Hip Oil - Which is used to nourish the skin - Since using this product i haven't suffered from any dry breakouts. I put this down to using this product as nothing else in my skin care routine has changed.
  • Virgin Cherry Oil - Used for reducing redness and again to hydrate - i never suffered from any red areas on my face so have not noticed a difference in this area.


How to Use:

This product is to be put on your face when its dry... I find this very strange as before reading the label i was putting it on when my face was wet and it was working great. However, after reading the instructions i decided to try and see how it went when my face was dry. I did not like this way of doing it at all! It made my skin feel horrible while putting it on and i also found it harder to take my makeup off and had to repeat in a second time to completely remove my mascara. I would suggest putting it on when your face in wet and them removing it with a cloth and patting your face dry.

In terms of getting off my makeup I find this cleanser really gets every last bit of makeup off leaving nothing behind. Another point to be made is that this cleanser has a very unique texture to it... Lets me serious It looks like marmalade and smells like it too!,  i find that the thick consistency really allows the product to get to every piece of make up to break it down. 

On the Ole Henriksen the bio about this product has this little quote about it 'Leaves Skin refreshed, healthy and luminous' and in 6 words this sums up the product amazingly!

Slimming World - Week 2

My first week back at Slimming World and I would say that it was a complete success! 99% of the time I was on plan with just one day where a Nandos may have happened!  It paid off! My first weigh in and I lost 2.5lbs! I am delighted, it just goes to show you that if you stick to it then it pays off and you will see the results that you want. If I lose 2.5lbs every week I will be one happy girl! Lets hope this week I am just as determined as I was last week! Slimming World - Fresh Start

Following on from my 2017 Goals post I decided to write about my fresh start at Slimming World. As I said I joined Slimming World in December of 2015 and for the first few months I really enjoyed having a new project to focus my time and energy on. However, I do think I went about it the wrong way - in the beginning I restricted what I ate so much that I barely ate anything that was not completely free on the plan and barely used any syns - and even though back then I had great weight losses and was very happy with how I looked, there came a day where I cracked and ended up eating anything and everything that was bad for me. Because I restricted myself to so much from eating the things that I enjoyed i just broke and ever since then I never really looked at the plan the same way - I was never very committed to it after that.
